22nd Annual Motor Vehicle Criminal Interdiction Training and Intelligence Sharing Meeting
Welcome to the 22nd Annual Motor Vehicle Criminal Interdiction Training and Intelligence Sharing Meeting!
In 1991 a small group of Interdictors met in El Paso, Texas to share their passion and expertise. Little did they know the positive influence that gathering would have and what it would become. 22 years later Interdictors from throughout North America are still coming together to share that which they know while receiving Accredited training and honoring their peers for achieving excellence. The goal is the same today as it was in 1991; to facilitate and encourage the exchange of intelligence relative to identifying and apprehending traveling criminals and contraband smugglers utilizing our nation’s highways.
Once again this year we have drawn together the best and the brightest in an environment optimized for learning, intelligence sharing, and networking. Every effort has been made to ensure you depart the week’s training and activities having gained valuable knowledge and insight, whatever the depth of your experience or the focus of your interest.
Our theme this year is “Back to the Basics; Interviewing, Reporting, and Prosecuting”. This will be addressed by numerous speakers throughout the week during both the general and breakout room sessions. Cognitive and focused Officer Safety and Rapid Assessment techniques during roadside encounters continue to be of the highest priority during this week long training event as well.
